Spotlight On...

Broadway Theatre Project Music Director Mary Walkley!

Mary Walkley is the Music Director and a founder of the Broadway Theatre Project. Mary teaches voice lessons and master classes around the world, and is currently working on her new book The Truth About Singing, to be released soon. She travels between her Florida studios in Miami, Ft. Myers, and Tampa, and also regularly travels to New York City to work with her many students there.

Mary's students have appeared in many leading roles on Broadway, as finalists on American Idol, and many are signed to major recording company labels. Through her experience and by working with some of the best singers and singing educators in the country, Mary has refined and perfected her technique of learning to sing, which she calls "The Connected Voice." This voice begins to develop as she guides the singer toward a speech-like coordination in a private, supportive environment. Through Mary's series of vocal exercises, she builds voices which are connected from the bottom to the top, which resonate with strength and beauty, and which have a commercial sound that enables her students to find work in all aspects of the music industry.
