Spotlight On...

Broadway Theatre Project Vocal Faculty Member Adrienne Angel!

What has Adrienne been up to this year? Adrienne says "I made my sixth teaching trip to Tokyo where I saw my students featured in Japanese productions of Miss Saigon, Rent, and Chicago. The production values were amazing - equal to Broadway. What a thrill! Also I have been commuting back and forth to Las Vegas this winter, working with my student Cher who is appearing at Caesar's Palace. She stars in a fabulous production which is packing them in." With all that going on in her life, she says "I still consider summers at BTP the high point of my year."

About Adrienne: Bernadette Peters calls Adrienne Angel "the best voice teacher in the world!" Adrienne received her musical education at High Point University in North Carolina and at the Juilliard School. Her credits range from TV actress and spokeswoman through jingle singing, to Broadway shows, theatre tours, cabaret, and finally, master voice teacher. She has been featured in many of the nation's major regional theatres, on national tours and on Broadway, all the while maintaining a busy schedule as a voice teacher. After the national tour of Peter Pan (starring Sandy Duncan) in which she played Mrs. Darling, Ms. Angel made the final commitment to her voice students. Her past and present students include: Cher, Bernadette Peters, Whoopi Goldberg, Christine Baranski and Jane Krakowsky.
